Truc: A Todo App That Forgets

Most todo apps treat tasks as immortal. Truc assumes the opposite: if you don’t do it soon, it probably didn’t matter.

How It Works

• 8 states: todo, focus, freezer, backlog, done, graveyard, snoozed, deleted
• Star or not: each task can be starred for priority
• Icons: pick from 8 emoji categories for quick visual scanning
• Decay: tasks not in freezer decay after 3 days of inactivity
• Freezer: stops decay, but limited to 5 slots
• Overnight cull: if you have 15+ tasks at end of day, the oldest ones get killed
• Graveyard: killed tasks go here, not permanently deleted
• Revival: you can revive 1 task per day from the graveyard

Philosophy

Your todo list should shrink on its own. Tasks that sit there forever are either done, delegated, or weren’t important. Truc makes that explicit by letting things die.
